Happy New Year! For your 2019 tarotscope I pulled 13 cards, 12 that correspond to respective areas of human life represented as ‘houses’ in the typical astrological natal chart, and one that represents the overarching theme of 2019 for you. Given below is a diagram of a natal chart explaining the various houses so that you may have a better understanding of the cards I have pulled pertaining to each. Astrologers use this chart to divide the planets and constellations that appeared in the sky at the moment you were born in order to derive corresponding potentialities for your life in various areas. So, typically, this chart with the houses contains a map of the planets with their exact degrees as well as the zodiac constellations as they were placed starting from the one that was rising on the Eastern horizon. Please note that the house meanings given here are not an exhaustive list and therefore I may mention themes pertaining to houses that do not show up in this example graphic. Given below the chart image is your reading for 2019! May it be a good one for you!
Your 2019 Tarotscope
1st house matters: In 2019, what matters most for your happiness is a scrutiny of what you are holding on to. The attitude you take (and it will be easy for you to go either way), positive or negative, will influence everything else. You have the choice to either stay with past hurts and let them make you a cynic, or you can choose to constructively overcome whatever has held you back. True, some accommodations will have to be made, emotionally or physically, for things you just cannot do, but there are still creative ways to get around that hiccup. You will do well to make making amends your goal this year, and not so well if you adopt a caustic tongue instead. The realm of art and imagination can save you and provide you much-needed answers.
2nd house matters: Fatigue, or a feeling of lack of control, could affect the way you earn and manage money. Or perhaps you feel the need to increase your income to the point where it starts playing on your mind and body and results in exhaustion. Some things may indeed not be in your control entirely when it comes to your finances. A person you share space with could waste their energy and your money on useless enterprises, purchases or repairs. Some of you could have to deal with fire damage in the house, so be extra cautious. Meditation or walks in nature will help you release pent up frustration, distracting yourself with sexual liaisons of convenience will only add to the problem. This might also be a good time to get your hormone levels checked.
3rd house matters: This is a wonderful card to receive. Resolve to speak the truth, and adhere to a higher-minded ideology in your communications and you will receive blessings in the form of new companions and even respect as a ‘guiding light’ in your local area, or online. A mentor might help you to improve your administration or communication skills, and some of you might even be awarded a managerial or mentoring position at work. Be ethical in your interactions, avoid gossip, and get your contracts vetted by someone with experience and knowledge. You could also receive some useful information from someone senior which will lead you to either join a formal group, sign up for professional development classes, or find a job in another area. Any one of these scenarios will open doors to bigger opportunities for you. Some of you could feel guided to switch to public transit.
4th house matters: Miscommunication and misunderstandings at home could lead to bitter exchanges between people. Or your sense of safety could be affected by protests or the actions of delinquents or misguided activists in the place that you live. This is not the time to engage in debate with others, as others may simply not be thinking straight. At this time you are being called to bring your healing touch to troubled minds, rather than point out fault in others’ logic, lead people to peaceful action through loving words or at the very least, choose to keep distance from the kerfuffle. It is possible that you could be guilt of an overzealous or jingoistic attitude that is affecting the peace of the community you belong to. Insisting on being the force of change that only distresses everyone is not a good idea, you won’t win. Please also tend to what seem to be minor wiring or electric issues at home, as they may become bigger problems if left untended.
5th house matters: A big shift is taking place in your house of ego-validating activities. It is possible that the groups, hobbies, or people that once served to enhance your self-esteem or image no longer satisfy you as you feel pulled towards a new philosophy. For some, this spells the end of a major romance, and you might be the one calling it quits. If you have children, you might find one to be a negative influence over another and separating them in some way might be the only solution. In general, you might be coming to realise that you cannot have it all — physical and spiritual satisfaction — at least not with the people and pursuits you are currently involved with.
6th house matters: Health-wise you are in a year of new-found balance in your humours or in your mental state, and this will have a positive impact on your daily routines, labours, relationships with employees and co-workers, and on the services you render. you will start to almost feel at one with your surroundings. Some of you might meet ‘the One’ most suited to you at the workplace or in a place of service — but this is an opportunity you can only make the most of (and you should!) if your attitude is healthy (see 1st house matters again).
7th house matters: With Neptune in a long transit through Pisces, many Virgos may start to feel out of step with business or romantic partners who seem either more tempestuous than usual or just away with the fairies. This year you might suffer the annoyance of an unrealistically romantic companion who refuses to consider daily practicalities when it comes to your relationship or the projects you are involved in. But also, you could be the one guilty of being so left-brained that you let a fantastic opportunity for creativity or romance go by.
8th house matters: In this house of chthonic matters you have a card that depicts lack of movement or control especially on account of puzzling situations. Being a Major Arcana card this is about your life on the whole and not just mundane matters. If you are unable to move in some way due to a deep fear, if you are dwelling on what secrets someone has not told you, if you are unable to feel sexual desire due to some block, if you feel exhausted without any reason, then it is time for you to delve deep into your own mind and unearth this obstacle on your course. Talking to a therapist might help. For some of you deep-seated confusion might result in inability to move your investments in tune with the market to do you any good, or it might affect your joint finances with someone. Also be alert while driving, as sudden onset of confusion could cause a mishap. And by the same token, keep a close eye on business especially if you deal in imports and exports or commodities from below the surface.
9th house matters: It seems as if whatever is slowing you down in your 8th house is also causing you to project your anxiety or confusion onto matters pertaining to learning, innovation, international travel, spirituality, mentors, foreign citizenship, mass media etc. A few of you could even develop a phobia of pollution which could affect how you approach and use agricultural produce and such essentials. For some of you this is a crisis of faith in reality itself. For some of you though this could also be a time of in-depth study of the occult or of psychology. Dream analysis could be a useful topic to delve into. Some of you might feel disillusioned by the guides you invested your trust in. Some of you might face a spate of rejections from publishers or media houses. As mentioned in the previous section, this might have more to do with what is going on within you. At the same time, as scary as the Moon card can be, it is always always indicative of new life ahead. Whatever troubles you at this time, work through it, and there WILL be light at the end of the tunnel, quite a shiny, pretty one too!
10th house matters: Getting a grasp on new technology, new ideas, new theories or new analytical techniques could bring a breath of fresh air into your career. As such this year it seems as if you are in learning mode, which is always a good thing. It might also be that people in your industry or government receive you as the one with daring new ideas or facts, but also this card cautions you to think things through before you speak or make a presentation lest you come across as naive. For some of you work could involve dealing with young ones.
11th house matters: Of all the people you know there is one special friend whom you admire and feel loyal towards. Alternatively, someone in your circle feels this way about you. There is an equation here that is meant to teach you grace in dealing with your own primal desires as well as troublesome others. If there isn’t such an association in your world yet, it is recommended you keep your eyes open for one. This card also brings an important message for you to review you goals and separate the base ones from the higher-minded. Also, seek out the company of those who are better than you in manner and intellect, or those who belong to entirely different cultures, races, and interests, even if this requires you to humble yourself a bit
— this will have major consequences on your future direction and evolution, especially with regard to 9th house matters.
12th house matters: Is there a secret project or goal that you have been working on behind the scenes? 2019 is not the time to bring it out into the world. Project or not, you might be feeling a little restless for things, anything, to get going in your life in a real way, but just wait a tad longer, this year you have important inner work to do to sort your goals out and reorder different areas of your life such that they may enable your intellectual and spiritual evolution (and thus spark joy) in future, and not just keep things chugging along the same old track. If you can avoid it, try not to break into your fixed assets or deposits to fund anything. Also, you are advised to find a patch of land or a space that is entirely your own where you might grow plants or work with your hands to create something as it will have a therapeutic effect on you and get you a good night’s sleep.
Overall theme: Your usual practicality and earthy sensibility is threatening to become close-minded materialism this year. This is when the invisible workings of this universe step in to correct your course such that you might find that anytime you try to materialise something, fixate on an outcome, or focus on acquisition, success eludes you. Almost every house in your chart is highlighting one central trend of needing to connect with your emotional, imaginative, numinous side. Refinement of thought, exploration of philosophy, and a close look at your own inner workings (rather than what is wrong with the world) will yield the most rewards for you. Openmindedness is your keyword in 2019. Virgos are usually the ones to fix things for us, this year you might need to tend to your soul a wee bit too…
Have a happy 2019 and see you next month with the regular monthly tarotscopes! 🙂
