Leo, June 2018

Just two cards in your reading, yet so complex in their profusion of messages. Stirring underneath your own emotional instability, or the unreasonable emotional demands of another (a wife or mother figure, or even a Water sign friend), is the building pressure of a trend that demands life-sized changes. The associations, belief systems, communities, organisations or institutions that once served to nurture or comfort you now no longer do. If there is internal emotional tension or stress in any of your relationships, meditate on how it might be symptomatic of your changing emotional, creative or philosophical needs. This could play out in so many ways but some examples would be a disillusionment by capitalism or religion; a radical change of views on the merit of marriage as an institution; an itch to start ‘colouring outside the lines’ in your creative endeavours, and so forth.

As in everything, there are no wrong or right answers here. What truly matters is that you align yourself with what feels right for you, even if it is outside convention, and even though it might demand a break in certain time-honoured ties or practices, if it leads to a happier you, it will at least save your close ones from the enervating effects of your restlessness or dissatisfaction.

Some of you might need to reassess your mentors and guiding principles — have they had a positive effect on you in the long term in any way? Did you stop to think if there was any joy-giving merit to them?

If you are in a leadership position yourself, and so many Leos naturally are, you might want to investigate into the emotional well-being of your ‘flock’ and perhaps give more emphasis on it in your management techniques.

Since general readings don’t apply to everyone in the exact same way, please take what meaning you can from the general theme implied by these readings, in whichever area of life it plays out for you. Sometimes, your Rising sign or Moon sign reading might apply to you better (Get your Rising sign here: https://cafeastrology.com/whats-my-ascendant-sign.html, and scroll down the page for the Moon sign calculator as well). And if you’d like something more specific, please feel free to email me at yinyouryang@gmail.com

…Until next month! 😀

I have to laugh out loud at this because I’m a Leo with Scorpio Ascendant and I’m in a pretty bad living situation with another Leo and although we are childhood friends, I’ve become resentful realizing that I’ve emotionally invested (and been drained by) someone who is for all intents an purposes a textbook narcissist. I am about to walk away from the commitment to living here because its starting to feel as if the energetic exchange is holding me back from fully focusing on and investing on the positive developments in my life right now. Im upset because I spent so much time comforting only to realize, I’ve never been comforted.

Oh dear! I wish a nicer more joyful reading had been more true of your situation than this. Sometimes I hate getting it right! But, as I read the cards, this is the push you need to go seek better environs and company — fixed signs can be like that….needing giant pushes and prods eh? Because otherwise your lot will stick around in bad situations waiting and working to make it right….! All the best! Here’s to better, healthier friends in the near future, and happy times in a happy new home! 🙂

Also BTW, interesting insight….I looked at the reversed Queen of Cups again, and since you said narcissistic friend….it does look like this card in reverse with the Queen staring at the cup, almost like Narcissus of mythology staring at his own reflection, could be read as such a personality. Thanks!
