When you shine a light on the fears and worries dotting your mindscape you realise they are not as scary as they seem in the dark of despair. What is it they say about every obstacle being a course correction? It can be a difficult view to take when it is one step forward, two steps back. But look what we have here! Going a bit into reverse gear has revealed a fresh source of inspiration, or rather, a source of inspiration you are only able to recognise when you are working to a soul-stirring vision, not just a materially-defined mission. Imagination is the country you need to be, where love is wild and everything is free.
Mental: You’ve got this. You know your sh*t. Don’t shy away from stepping up to the plate because even though others talk a big game, you’re the one who has the goods to deliver. Don’t let the hot air of a certain someone get you in a sweat from a misplaced sense of ineptitude. You’re more than capable for the job — a plum position in some cases. Stand your ground, own it. There was a time in your life when you would jump hoops to impress a certain individual or a certain type. But this is now. They are here…again. A defensive reaction to perceived or real patronising is for petulant children. The grown up thing to do is to ignore the petty politics and games, assess the merit of a collaboration to help you achieve your own ends, and gracefully forge democratic partnerships if they promise anything.
Emotional: Just because things always go a certain way doesn’t mean they always have to. There’s a first and only time for everything, especially the truly wonderful stuff. So if you’re exercising studied restraint from promising connections and faithful admirers because you want to save yourself the hurt that always comes from getting close to someone, then you might be denying yourself an adventure. Cast aside your need to know outcomes before you invest yourself in anything. Open up to the thrill of letting your hair down, even if it ends in a Raggedy-Ann do. This applies to dealing with children too. Your goals and dreams for them are yours, not theirs. See what happens when you give yourself and your loved ones the freedom to f**k up. It might have quite an interesting knock-on effect on other areas of your life.
Material: You’re always good with keeping things going. You’re one of the few signs who can even make a tight spot look profitable. When the chips are down, you up your counting game and never let your standards fall or aesthetics suffer. Yet, such intense commitment to goals can make manipulation of circumstances and people seem justified. And then we end up in a dog-eat-dog world. If your endeavours and manifesting processes aren’t bearing the kind of fruit they usually do, investigate whether you’re emotionalising or romanticising frankly, fairly self-indulgent, rather than self-enhancing goals. The way to prosperity, and indeed, any good thing this year seems to be hidden in your willingness to lose it all.
Physical: Is your body a part of your identity? Is it a machine to execute your ideas with? Is it a reflection of your intellect? Is it an annoying obstacle that holds you back from doing everything you’d like to? Is it a tool for sex? Is it a place to store food? The point is, you are taking a close look at your body in a way you haven’t done before. Practices and ideas from the past may not hold up to the new perspective you get from paying closer attention to your well-being. This is not about what others think. Nor is it about what your body advertises about you to the world. This is about birthing a new physicality that is more self-aware and therefore, more sophisticated in its ability to make you feel good, no matter what your age.
Special Message: It’s in the very soul DNA of your sign to value all that surrounds you. You value the friends and loved ones that are there for you; you value the comforts your possessions give you. And you are often dismayed when people and things fail to live up to the values they gave you the impression to possess. What sort of world would it be if you were to wake up one day surrounded by things without purpose, and people without values? Can such a construct even survive for very long? Ask one of your hobo friends (you do have a way of attracting them). A world without ascribed value would be a world of acceptance and tolerance, I imagine. Or it could be complete mayhem. How would you operate in such a world? The answer to that question is the answer to all your problems this year.
