Os iusti meditabitur sapientiam,
Et lingua eius loquetur indicium.
Beatus vir qui suffert tentationem,
Quoniam cum probates fuerit
Accipiet coronam vitae.
The mouth of the just shall meditate wisdom
And his tongue shall speak judgement
Blessed is he who endures temptation
For once he has been tested
He shall receive the crown of life.
(Lilium, from the Elfen Lied soundtrack)
A lot is happening in the skies — as if the planets ever stop; as if life ever stops. But I’ll focus on Jupiter that is in the sign of Libra till October 2017, and with supporting planetary action, now in full effect even though it made its ingress last month.
There are no ‘good’ or ‘bad’ birth charts. The planetary configurations we are born with are potential energy (like money in the bank) that our actions transform into gold or shit. For eg.: The same Mars-North Node conjunction that can produce sex maniacs can also produce brave soldiers (or both in one!). So if an astrologer gives you a fatalistic prediction, it is based on their assumption of the average human resonating with the lower vibration of their planets because that is the path of least resistance that most of us are wont to walk.
This brings me to Jupiter in Libra. On the base side of life this placement can produce a ‘loose character’ or commitment-avoidance because with a proliferation of relationship opportunities (in any sphere of life), one might constantly change partners because every new face promises better things than the last. Because there’s plenty of fish in the sea and one hesitates to ‘settle’– what if the best is yet to come? Jupiter in Libra can also lose its mission to learn and get lost in Libra’s material world of entertaining and shopping.
However, at an evolved level justice-oriented Jupiter harnesses Libra’s ability to see things from everyone’s perspective to create win-win solutions. Also, Libra’s refined sense of balance in aesthetics combines well with Jupiter’s expansive philosophies to create high art, music and fashion. (Perhaps peace and beauty will make an appearance in this sordid, violent, tetchy year yet?)
